I have a fervent interest in infection control issues and acted as Expert Panel Member and Royal College of Surgeons' Representative, to the National Audit Office (NAO), during publication of their report "Hospital Acquired Infection".

I was Lead Clinician to the Department of Health (DOH), as well as Expert Panel Member and Co-author of their report into Surgical Site Infection and I lecture internationally on the subjects of Hip Reconstruction and The Management of Infection.

I act as an Adviser to The Medicines and Health Regulatory Authority (MHRA) on the design of joint replacements.

Since introducing the Exeter Hip to Norwich in 1996, I have enjoyed a close association with the Exeter Group, teaching and lecturing at symposia both in England and abroad.


Personal Statement:

I am passionate about Surgical Quality. I have had the great privilege of operating on literally thousands of patients and believe the outcomes of my surgery are second to none.
